Sculpt Your Body to Get Rid of Stubborn Fat Pockets with Liposuction & Vaser

Do you suffer from stubborn fat where no matter how much you exercise or diet you can’t get rid of certain bulges?.

It can be frustrating for both women and men, but help is at hand from the experts here at Inspire Cosmetic Surgeons.

We offer traditional Liposuction Surgery and Vaser Liposuction, which sculpts your body getting rid of those unwanted pockets of fat and helping you to get the body confidence you want by improving your contours and proportions.

It is also one of the most popular and safest cosmetic procedures and can be combined with other treatments to create the best body you deserve.

Inspire also specialises in Vaser Liposuction, which works through ultrasound to help banish unwanted fat and helps with skin tightening.

Liposuction is not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle and is not a treatment for obesity, cellulite or loose and saggy skin.

But it is a great way for those in shape to get the shape they truly want and what’s more you can be in and out in day and be back in work straight-away with treatments costing from £3,500.

Both Liposuction and Vaser liposuction can be carried out under local anaesthesia, intravenous sedation or general anaesthesia and Mr Netri and his anaesthetist will recommend the best choice for you.

As you probably know it works by sucking out unwanted or stubborn fat pockets and Mr Netri’s skill means he will use the smallest, hidden incision possible to minimise any marking or scars.

Then there is a process we call the infiltration of tumescent solution, which means local anaesthetic and adrenaline are injected with saline solution to control any pain and reduce bleeding, during or after the procedure.

It is then that a small tube is inserted, and the fat cells are gently removed by suction.   Vaser Liposuction works differently and is ideal to remove a greater volume of fat for larger fatty areas, thick fat and is often more suitable for male patients.

A small tube is inserted which vibrates very quickly creating ultrasound energy that passes through the fat cells. The energy liquifies the fat cell, breaking them down before the gentle suction to remove fat cells.

Here’s our checklist to see liposuction or Vaser liposuction could work for you:

  • You are over 18.
  • You are physically healthy, are not significantly overweight and your weight is stable.
  • You have realistic expectations.
  • If you have fatty areas that are disproportionate to the rest of your body and are resistant to exercise and diet.
  • If you want more definition in certain areas of your body.
  • Your skin is quite elastic as liposuction removes fat but doesn’t tighten skin.

Liposuction and Vaser Liposuction are a type of surgery and there are always risks, however unlikely, involved in surgery. That’s why Inspire Cosmetic Surgeons only use the best, and highly skilled surgeons such as Mr Netri who has specialised in this field.

In the consultation process you will be guided through your decision for liposuction and then it’s your decision to compare the risks, however unlikely, against your desires and dreams.

Every patient must sign a consent form and it’s our duty to tell you all about the risks and any potential complications as well as the benefits.

Potential risks could include:

  • Anaesthesia risk.
  • Bruising.
  • Bleeding, including from where you’ve had the liposuction.
  • Seroma or fluid accumulation.
  • Persistent swelling.
  • Infection.
  • Asymmetry.
  • Skin irregularities.
  • Cellulite could be made worse.
  • Changes in sensitivity (these can be permanent).
  • Poor wound healing and scarring.
  • Persistent pain.
  • Deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
  • Damage to deeper structures (i.e. lungs).
  • Revision surgery.
  • Pigmentation of the skin.
  • Thermal burn or heat injury in case of Vaser treatments.

All these risks and others will be fully discussed by Mr Netri before you sign the consent form.

The simple answer is yes as liposuction can be scheduled as day case surgery or as an overnight stay depending on different circumstances which will be agreed at the time of your consultation.

Before leaving the hospital, you will be given specific instructions on how to care for your body, your medication and when to follow-up with Mr Netri.

You will need to wear a compressive garment for four weeks after surgery, both day and night and should also refrain from exercise and heavy lifting for the same period.

You may also need a course of specific massage to help reduce swelling and improve the result.

It’s great news as results are usually very good and can be immediately visible.  The final results can take up to six months because of post-surgical swelling, while the scars can take over a year to fade and will never disappear completely.

Everyone is individual so results will vary significantly from person to person and can be affected by your anatomy such as your proportions, symmetry and skin quality. Your lifestyle also has an impact from whether you smoke to how much you exercise and previous weight loss.

The results of liposuction are long lasting as the fat cells have been removed but you need to keep your weight stable and your figure might be affected by future weight gain, ageing, pregnancy, your genes and lifestyle factors.

It’s key to understand that after liposuction, if you do put on weight, fat can be stored in other body areas and there’s no way to predict where your body will store new fat. What’s more not every fat cell will be removed from your target area so you could still increase the size of remaining fat cells in that area.

Remember if we take you through pictures during our consultation, these are used as a guide to explain the kind of result that you want so Mr Netri understand your needs, but the results can be significantly different from the images shown

Your liposuction consultation with Mr Netri and our practice nurse will make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

It will last approximately one hour and means you can clearly chat through why you are considering a breast reduction, what you’re expecting, any concerns you have and what you want the results to be.

Mr Netri will also speak to you about your family and your own medical history. He will also need your permission to contact your GP to get your medical records.

In some cases, a psychological assessment may be required as recommended by new guidelines for cosmetic surgery in the UK.

Mr Netri will examine you and take some measurements and take notes of size, asymmetry, skin quality, muscle tone, presence of scars, stretch marks, cellulite and pigmentations. Based on a physical examination it is then the time to discuss what your options are and what the results will be. Mr Netri will also explain in detail the operation, risks and possible associated complications.

Although we said an hour, you will have all the time that you need to ask questions and Mr Netri will do his best to answer these as clearly as possible.

You will be offered a second consultation to talk through the surgical plan again in detail and to ask any additional question that you might have forgotten during your first appointment.

We want to make sure this is the right decision for you, and we have a minimum 14 day cooling off period where you can change your mind. This is counted from your last consultation to the date of the procedure.

You will have all the time that you need to make questions and Mr Netri will do his best to answer these as clearly as possible.

Liposuction starts from £3,500 and can vary depending upon facility, the number of areas required and if there’s a need for Vaser liposuction.

Costs include:

  • Anaesthesia fees.
  • Hospital costs.
  • Surgeon fees.
  • Dressings.

*Extra costs can be applied for tests, medication and compression garments
