Aqualix – Fat Dissolving Injections

Aqualyx is an effective non-surgical injectable treatment for fat reduction especially for areas that are stubborn and resistant to diet and exercise. For some patients who are not suitable for liposuction, or not willing to undergo a more invasive procedures, Aqualyx will provide these patients a permanent reduction of fat.

From our Manchester aesthetic clinic in Cheshire, Mr Giuseppe Fiore offers not only the most effective and safe non-surgical cosmetic treatments, but a range of non-invasive techniques, if surgery is not yet necessary or desired. One such treatment is Aqualix, a fat dissolving injectable, to reduce fat from localised areas, such as the chin, stomach, back, hips and thighs.

FAQ

IS AQUALYX SAFE?

Aqualyx is derived from deoxycholic acid, a natural substance produced by the liver and it helps to digest fat. When injected this solution dissolves the membrane of fat cells. These dead fat cells are then removed by the body’s lymphatic system.

Aqualyx is biocompatible and biodegradable and is a proven safe and effective method for reducing stubborn deposits of fat. No major side effects have been reported. However if you are looking for safer results, always ask for an experienced and qualified doctor.

WHICH AREA IS IT POSSIBLE TO TREAT?

–  “Double Chin” fat

–  “Love handles” – Pockets of fat around the abdominal area.

–  “Saddlebags”- Fat settled around the hips and upper tighhs.

–  “Banana Roll Fat” – Bulges of fat that occur under the buttocks

– Bra rolls

– Lumps after Surgical Liposuction

– “Buffalo Hump” – Fat that develops at the top of the back between the shoulders

– “Bingo Wings” – Excess fat in the upper arm

HOW MANY SESSIONS?

Average 3 treatments approximately 4 weeks apart. Double chin up to 6 weeks.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

The cost starts from £500 for hyperhidrosis treatment and prices vary depending on the amount of Botulinum Toxin needed as this may differ for patients.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT? DOES AQUALYX TREATMENT HURT?

Like all injectable treatments, if delivered without the right techniques or appropriate pain relief, there can be an unpleasant sensation. However, Mr Fiore mixes Aqualyx with local anaesthetic to reduce discomfort. He will also use a topical anaesthetic if required and uses the most innovative and skilled techniques, equipment and products, so that any discomfort is minimised.

IS THERE IS ANY DOWNTIME OR SIDE EFFECTS WITH AQUALYX?

After your treatment you can go back to work or your usual daily activities, ensuring that you follow the correct aftercare protocols set out to you. Within the first couple of days after the treatment, you may however, experience some swelling, bruising, burning sensation, as well as a feeling of pressure and tenderness in the treatment area.

During the treatment, Mr Fiore usually uses a cannula – a blunt ended needle- which glides around blood vessels, thus minimising any risk of bruising in the treatment areas. Compression garments may be required for specific areas during one week.

AM I SUITABLE FOR AQUALYX ?

Aqualyx is not a weight loss treatment.

It is an effective procedure for reducing stubborn areas of fat resistant to diet and exercise.

It is not an alternative to liposuction for patients with large areas of fat.

Mr Fiore is an experienced doctor surgeon trained in aesthetic and he will be able to make a full assessment and a bespoke therapeutic plan.
